Group objects
You can group think-cell elements and PowerPoint shapes so that they keep their position relative to each other when you reposition or resize them.
To group objects, select the objects, right-click one of the objects to open the context menu, and select Group.
To ungroup objects, select the group, right-click one of the objects to open the context menu, and select Ungroup. Alternatively, you can use the built-in PowerPoint buttons by selecting Home > Drawing > Arrange > Group or Ungroup.
If there are no think-cell elements in your selection, the grouping behavior will be that of the built-in PowerPoint function.
When you select a grouped object, a thin blue border appears around the group, and a thick blue border appears around the grouped objects.
To reposition a group, select and drag one of the objects in the group.
To resize a group, select and drag one of the resize handles at the corners of the group's border.
Grouping is particularly helpful when working with the following elements:
- Charts with legends (see Legends)
- Charts with data tables (see Charts with data tables)
- Text boxes (see Text boxes)
