Select objects
This section explains how to quickly select the think-cell elements and PowerPoint shapes that you want.
Select a different object with your keyboard
After you select an object, you can change your selection with the keyboard. To select a different object, select and hold Alt and use the arrow keys.
You can also change the selected part of an element, such as a table cell, with your keyboard. to select other parts of an element, select and hold Alt and use the arrow keys.
Select multiple objects
With think-cell, you can select multiple objects similarly to how you select files in Microsoft Windows Explorer. Selecting multiple objects is useful in many ways. For example, you can apply the same formatting to the elements in your selection, or paste text into the elements in your selection (see Paste text into multiple objects).
To select multiple objects, drag the mouse cursor over the objects. Alternatively, select and hold Ctrl, then select the objects. You can select parts of an element, such as table cells, using the same keyboard and mouse shortcuts to select multiple objects. To adjust your selection, choose from the following options:
- To select multiple objects in a range, such as checkboxes that you arranged in a row, select the first object that you want in your selection, then select and hold Shift and select the last object. When you move the cursor while holding Shift, think-cell highlights the objects that will join your selection.
- To add objects to your selection, select and hold Ctrl, then select the objects.
- To remove objects from your selection, select and hold Ctrl, then select the objects.
- To extend your selection to include other objects, select and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift and use the arrow keys.
- To expand the size of your selection with the keyboard, select Ctrl+A repeatedly. For example, with a table cell selected, selecting Ctrl+A first selects all other cells in the table, then all other objects on the slide.
