Performance issues when using ESET

Problem

  • Updating think-cell charts takes very long and PowerPoint seems to be very unresponsive after each change in the internal datasheet of think-cell.
  • ESET Smart Security Version 9 or ESET NOD32 Antivirus Version 9 is installed and the Real-time file system protection is activated: Setup > Computer protection > Real-time file system protection.

To find out if you are affected by this problem you can temporarily deactivate the Real-time file system protection. think-cell performance should return to normal.

Solution

Update to a current version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus or ESET Smart Security.
