Computational Visualistics Day at University of Koblenz-Landau

What happened at this event?

As we are currently on the lookout for creative C++ developers with a background in computer graphics and theoretical computer science, we have had our eye on the Computational Visualistics department at University of Koblenz-Landau for a while now. On the occasion of their Computational Visualistics Day 2014, we decided to throw in a pop-up ice cream stand to welcome a proper summer vibe to the party. This gave us a chance to get to know some of the department's most talented and dedicated students while they took an ice-cream break away from their very impressive projects.

To add a little more bling to the event, our CTO Arno Schödl also announced our Meeting C++ scholarship: The excellent opportunity to win one of 50 tickets to the C++ conference in Berlin, exclusive to the best students only.

After Arno's...

... entertaining talk on how think-cell came to be...

... we started handing out ice cream like it was... candy.

Our scheme was simple, but ingenious: First, to lure in...

... the most talented students with the promise of candy.

Then, to bedazzle them with exceptional job opportunities,...

... presented on seductive little ice cream cups.

And while they were smiling and their tongues were all stiff from the cold...

... we handed out more information about how easy it is to apply.

We were happy to answer a lot of questions about think-cell,...

... and to give short presentations about the problems we have solved.

In short: We had a brilliant time. Thanks for having us, Koblenz!

Who is think-cell?

think-cell was founded in 2002 by two computer scientists who continue to run the company. We produce graphics software that performs most of the painstaking work of creating presentation slides for our demanding users.
