A network login request pops up

Problem

When using think-cell in PowerPoint, a network login request appears.

Solution

This problem is caused by Microsoft Excel, which requires a login if your default printer is set to a network printer. The think-cell datasheet is based on Microsoft Excel. Consequently, the network login may appear when you use think-cell in PowerPoint.

  • You can cancel the network login prompt without any side effects (except that you cannot use network services, obviously).
  • To prevent the network login prompt from appearing again, set your default printer to a printer that is not on the network.
