Meet thinkcell's new logo

Sep 9, 2026 - 4 min read

Marichka Baluk

This week, you may have noticed something different on our website and in your PowerPoint or Excel ribbon tabs. thinkcell has a new logo.

We’ve had the same logo for 24 years. Its geometric, structural design conveyed thinkcell’s focus on data-driven presentation creation. It’s recognizable and has held up over the years, providing a consistent identity to our users.

Part of that identity has been our commitment to improving high-stakes business communications. Since 2002, that commitment has never wavered, but our products’ focus has expanded.

We started with perfecting data visualizations and, over time, earned the loyalty of dedicated business professionals around the world who rely on us for creating better slides faster. Then we expanded into full presentation workflows, helping our users at every step of the business slide workflow in Excel and PowerPoint.

With the launch of our AI tools, we’ve gone beyond what we set out to do 24 years ago. As what you’re able to achieve with thinkcell expands, so now is the right time to evolve our logo.

What changed with the new thinkcell logo

thinkcell works with you across environments, linking Excel and PowerPoint into one powerful workflow. We’re your assistant throughout presentation creation, combining the probabilistic power of AI and the precision of deterministic functions to ensure your final communications are impactful and trustworthy.

This dual environment we operate in is now part of our logo story – two squares overlapping to create the shape of our previous logo in the middle.

Our thinkcell red remains at the core of our identity, known and recognized by over 1.3 million users worldwide. The new shape and font give thinkcell a clean, minimal look that’s still bold enough to be easily found in your PowerPoint or Excel ribbon.

Finally, over the years we’ve seen how you’ve written our name, how you’ve searched for us, and what happens when you write our name with the hyphen in Excel. This inspired us to remove the hyphen from our name to make it more accessible.

How we updated the new thinkcell logo

Redesigning a logo is a big change, and we didn’t take it lightly.

We’re fortunate to have an amazing connection with our community of users that we’ve built over the years. We wanted this change to reflect the same values that define that connection: having a professional, trustworthy, reliable partner in your day-to-day presentation work.

So, we asked for user feedback early on, and we were happy to see you love the change and recognize it for what we hoped it to be.

We’re confident the new logo will represent thinkcell well as our product offering expands in the coming years. And we're glad to have a vote of confidence from the users who got us here in the first place.

Of course, this is just the beginning.
