KB0014: I can't insert a thinkcell chart

Problem

When I try to insert a chart, the mouse pointer turns into an hourglass for 10 seconds and the chart is not inserted.

Solution

The thinkcell add-in in PowerPoint is waiting for a connection to Excel. The connection to Excel fails either because your machine is extremely busy or because the thinkcell add-in in Excel did not start properly. Wait a few seconds and then try again.

If the problem persists, thinkcell might be automatically disabled as described in KB0005.
