EAT++ at TU Delft, Netherlands 2013

June 10, 2013

We were in Delft on June 10 for our first visit to the Netherlands. We were very excited about our meeting with students from the Delft University of Technology.

Our program got underway with the lecture "Layout without LaTeX: Interactive and Intuitive", which took place in the Ampere lecture theatre in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. Our colleague, Valentin Ziegler spoke about the development of a new, powerful algorithm for automated slide layout. The lively discussion between students, professors, and the think-cell team following the lecture was a lot of fun and showed just how much enthusiasm there was for the subject.

In the evening all of the participants were invited to the excellent De Waag restaurant in the historic district of Delft. We enjoyed a brilliant meal, good wine, and pleasant conversation. We would like to extend our warm thanks to all those who took part in our first EAT++ event in the Netherlands.
