Kontaktparty at ETH Zurich, Switzerland 2013

March 9, 2013

The Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich held its annual Kontaktparty, its renowned networking event, on Saturday, 9 March at the Hönggerberg campus (Science City). 200 students took advantage of the opportunity to mingle with representatives of 74 companies at the event organized by the VIS (Association of Computer Science Students).

We believe think-cell is a very attractive employer. To this end, we made our way to Zurich to convince Swiss students that Berlin is the place to be for jobseekers looking for a good place to work and live. Italian cappuccino and themed cookies shaped like the Brandenburg Gate were on hand as four of our software developers gave the students an insight into the challenges they face in their day-to-day work at think-cell.

We spent five hours answering questions on our company, open positions, internship opportunities, and options to write a Master thesis at think-cell. In addition, our CTO Arno Schödl and his colleagues demonstrated our product. Our visitors were visibly impressed by the complex algorithms that underpin our software.

We will visit Zurich again. Maybe even next year, who knows? The positive atmosphere and the level of interest students showed in think-cell were just a few of the good memories we took back to Berlin.

Who is think-cell?

think-cell was founded in 2002 by two computer scientists who continue to run the company. We produce graphics software that performs most of the painstaking work of creating presentation slides for our demanding users.
