ACCU in Bristol, UK 2025
April 1, 2025
think-cell was proud to continue its support for ACCU 2025, held from April 1-4 in Bristol, UK. This year, we were excited to sponsor a branded channel video and feature a talk by our Software Engineer Jonathan Müller on “Functional Programming in C++.”
ACCU continues to be one of the most respected conferences for C++ and software engineering professionals. The event brought together developers to exchange knowledge, explore new techniques, and discuss the future of software development. As a long-time sponsor, think-cell continues to support ACCU to help foster a strong and engaged developer community.
Jonathan Müller’s session, "Functional Programming in C++," introduced functional programming as a declarative approach to writing programs by composing functions. He covered topics like algorithms with std::ranges
, composable error handling with std::optional
and std::expected
, algebraic data types, and separating I/O from computation. The talk also touched on the M-word in functional programming, a concept that always sparks great discussion.
We were honored to be part of ACCU 2025, and we hope all attendees had a chance to gain valuable insights and connect with others in the C++ community.
