NDC TechTown in Kongsberg, Norway

September 20, 2023

In the middle of September, think-cell attended NDC TechTown in Kongsberg, Norway for the first time. It is an annual conference focusing on C++ and software development for products. The historical town of Kongsberg lies in a beautiful setting with a rapid river running through the town, surrounded by forest and mountains.

The conference was held over four days that included multiple talks, workshops, and social gatherings in the evening. We truly enjoyed meeting the Norwegian developers and catching up with familiar members of the C++ community.

Jonathan Müller, our Software engineer, presented his talk “C++ Features You Might Not Know” to a fully packed room, where he covered some of the obscures features in the upcoming C++ standard. For each feature, he spoke about the what, the why, and how you can use it to write better C++ programs.

Our HR representatives Julia and Anna had a booth setup where they spoke to attendees about what it is like working at think-cell as a C++ developer. Those who came by had the chance to spin the wheel or partake in our C++ related quiz to win an array of prizes, such as a neck warmer perfect for the colder fall days, our think-cell branded socks, a green bike saddle cover, and many more fun items.

It was lovely connecting with the C++ community being surrounded by fresh Norwegian country air! If you are interested in hearing more about our C++ developer vacancies, click here or get in touch with us directly through hr@think-cell.com to find out more.
