C++ CoreHard Autumn in Minsk, Belarus

November 30, 2019

In late November, our CTO Arno Schödl came to Minsk to take part in the annual “C++ CoreHard conference”. There, he presented his new 2019 talk “The C++ rvalue lifetime disaster” for an audience of more than 100 C++ enthusiasts from Belorussia.

During the talk, Arno presented a digestible version of this paper with the addition of

  • Examples, particularly range-related
  • Library-only macro trickery that we use in our code to mitigate the problem
  • A more exhaustive exploration of the design space, including some feedback that he received from German ISO committee members.

This year, there were around 280 conference participants and speakers from 8 different countries. Thank you for hosting us and we look forward to meeting again!
