Type Erasure in C++: When and How to Use It, by Jan Wilczek, C++ Developer at thinkcell.

Application developers sometimes encounter limitations in third-party libraries or frameworks. Type Erasure can help overcome these limitations without changing the underlying API.

The talk will use a concrete example from audio programming to show how Type Erasure can add functionality to the JUCE C++ framework while preserving its API. It will cover what Type Erasure is, when it makes sense to use it instead of virtual polymorphism, and how to implement it.

No prior knowledge of Type Erasure, audio development, or JUCE is required.
