The upcoming Berlin C++ Meetup, hosted by think-cell, takes place on Tuesday, May 26. Expect an evening focused on modern C++ topics and practical insights from an experienced member of the C++ standardization committee.

Talk:

• Contract assertions on virtual functions, by Timur Doumler, Software Engineer at Citadel Securities.

Contracts were introduced in C++26, but they cannot be applied to virtual functions. This talk explores why this problem is harder than it appears, reviews approaches taken by other languages, and presents a proposal for how contract assertions on virtual functions could work in C++.

When: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – 18:30 – 21:30
Where: Le Wagon Coding Bootcamp, Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 26 (5th floor), 10969 Berlin

Agenda:

18:30 – Doors open
19:00 – Contract assertions on virtual functions
20:40 – Pizza, drinks and networking
22:30 – Event ends

If you're interested in modern C++, we'd be glad to see you there.
