As part of think-cell's ongoing contribution to the academic community Sebastian Theophil, senior software engineer at think-cell, and Dr. Arno Schödl, think-cell's technical director, have published a paper on automatic column chart labeling. Sebastian presented the paper at the 5th International Symposium on Smart Graphics in Frauenwörth near Munich.
Besides the theoretical value of the paper, participants of the symposium were in particular
excited by the fact that the research presented by
Smart Graphics is the premier symposium on automated computer graphics based on artificial intelligence techniques. It brings together the leading experts in the field and its proceedings are published in Springer-Verlag's well-known "Lecture Notes in Computer Science" series.
