KB0050: An empty toolbar is left in PowerPoint after deinstallation of think-cell
Cause
Every time PowerPoint shuts down, the think-cell toolbar is emptied but not deleted in order to retain the toolbar position for the next start of PowerPoint. The deinstallation routine does not manipulate PowerPoint toolbars. Thus after deinstallation an empty toolbar remains, which will be reused by future installations of think-cell.
Solution
To remove the empty toolbar,
- in PowerPoint, open the Tools menu
- select Customize... → Toolbars
- and scroll down the list until you find think-cell
- Select think-cell and click the button Delete
- Click OK when you are asked if you want to delete the think-cell toolbar
- Finally, click Close to return to PowerPoint
