KB0046: Text in think-cell labels does not word-wrap when I open my presentation in Office 97

As an example let us consider a think-cell datasheet as follows:

After creation the chart looks like the figure below:

When the same chart is loaded in Office 97, it is observed that the text inside the think-cell labels does not wrap:

Cause

The data sheet in think-cell is based on Excel, and the missing line breaks have been entered directly into the Excel sheet using Alt+Enter. In the label, the text including the line break is represented as a text field. PowerPoint 97 does not support line breaks in text fields.

Solution

Do not type the label text into think-cell's data sheet. Type it directly into the label on the PowerPoint slide, overwriting think-cell's placeholder text.
