KB0042: What if the recipient of a file does not have think-cell installed?

Files that contain think-cell charts (smart-elements) are regular PowerPoint files and can be opened as such. think-cell smart-elements will display as a combination of MS Graph charts and PowerPoint shapes. The minimum requirement for this to work is MS Office 97 with Service Release 1.

Changes made in plain PowerPoint will be detected when the chart is again edited with think-cell. You will then be given the option to edit the chart in think-cell, and thereby undo any changes made with PowerPoint, or to edit the chart as it is in regular PowerPoint.
