KB0038: When working with a Gantt chart in a presentation with Asian language text, some fonts are inconsistent
or:
Labels containing Asian language text contain both bold and normal characters

Cause

Asian and Western character PowerPoint fonts are defined separately, and must both be set for PowerPoint to work correctly.

Solution

Define an Asian text font for the master slide. To do so follow these steps:

1. From the View menu open the Master submenu and select Slide Master
2. On the master slide, open the Edit menu and choose Select All
3. Open the Format menu and choose Font
4. In the dialog select an Asian text font and press OK
5. Click on Close Master View
