KB0015: When inserting a chart with think-cell, a network login request pops up
Cause
When your default printer is set to a printer on your firm's network and you are currently not connected to that network, Excel requests that you log in. Since the insertion of a smart-element implies that a connection to Excel is made for the datasheet, the insertion of a smart-element can trigger the network login prompt.
Solution
- You may cancel the network login prompt without any side effects (except that you cannot use network services, obviously).
- To avoid being prompted with the network login again, set your default printer to a printer that is not on the network.
