KB0012: Do I "have" to use think-cell chart for my slides?
Answer
The think-cell add-in does not impede use of regular PowerPoint in any way. You are free to use the traditional MS Graph method of creating charts at any time. However, for these charts, you will lose the accuracy and speed benefits think-cell chart provides.
think-cell chart covers most of the frequently used chart types. We will continue to add support for more chart types in future upgrades.
If for some reason you need to add non-standard formatting to a chart type that otherwise is already supported by think-cell chart, you should still first create the chart in think-cell. Then deactivate think-cell, apply the special formatting, and reactivate think-cell chart. think-cell chart will not undo formatting options it does not support, and you will keep the benefit of think-cell chart's features. To deactivate think-cell,
- open the More menu in the think-cell toolbar
- and click Deactivate think-cell
To reactivate think-cell, click the button with the think-cell logo. This is the only button that is left in the think-cell toolbar when think-cell chart is deactivated.
